Just steps away from the hotel, our favorite Neapolitan pizza shop has converted their front outdoor space into a pop-up patio restaurant as part of Austin’s new “Shop the Block” initiative. Reservations are required and QR codes are used to order at each table for enhanced Covid safety.
Oseyo — Just across the street from the Heywood Hotel, discover a modern take on the traditional flavors of Korean cuisine at Oseyo! Lounge areas are available in their lush outdoor courtyard for relaxed and stylized patio dining. With dishes inspired by her mother, restaurateur Lynn Miller provides a little Korean comfort on these lovely fall evenings in a space that makes Oseyo one of the most stylish patio restaurants in Austin.
Kemuri Tatsu-ya — A Heywood staff favorite, Kemuri is a Japanese izakaya with an emphasis on Texas smoked meats and an equally creative cocktail menu. Choose from one of their three Omakase menus featuring individual chef-driven experiences: O-Niku (Chicken), O-Sakana (Fish), or O-Yasai (Vegetable). Pair your meal with a whiskey or Shochu. Cenote — An East Austin institution, Cenote is the perfect outdoor patio cafe for a coffee, casual breakfast or lunch.
